Projects
Medical devices, research fixtures, and simulations including relevant coursework and industry experience. Each page covers what I built, how I tested it, and what I learned from the experience.

Auralert
A behind-the-ear EEG wearable that streams to a ML classifier to forecast seizures. I owned the processing hardware, enclosure, and integration.

Pediatric Crash-Test Neck
A redesigned neck for the Hybrid III 6-year-old crash dummy, built around mechanisms that change its response over the course of a crash, and simulated across six loading cases.

Implantable Electrode Fabrication
Sealing and shaping flexible sEEG electrodes: heat-press encapsulation of LCP, an alignment jig, and a gravity-tensioned helical coiling fixture.

Bluetooth-Enabled Pacemaker
Sensing, pacing firmware, and a stimulation stage on one board, validated block by block against physiological targets and on real cardiac tissue.

Blur Product Development
A production-intent enclosure for an at-home dry eye device, and a Python system that runs four instruments to calibrate a fluid-warming device unattended.

Duke eNable Team Lead
Led design on a modular prosthetic arm: one custom-fitted socket with swappable twist-lock tools, shared to eNable's open library.

Motor Cortex Decoder
From raw spike times in primate motor cortex to a decoded reach direction: rasters, cosine tuning fits, and the population vector behind early BCIs.

Hyperbaric Chamber IV Bag
A reusable, sealed bag that keeps IV pumps in a nitrogen atmosphere inside Duke's hyperbaric chambers, tested against measurable criteria through a live dive.

MedTech Prototyping Lightbox
An open-ended prototyping exercise in one small device: a custom enclosure, a KiCad board, and an interrupt-driven state machine.
